This is a most discussed topic. I want to know if working in a service based company helps in getting a permanent job outside india? How if yes?
My feeling is that the service based companies help you in L1 processing and H1 visas are a little tough to get processed if you are working in a group where long term onsite opportunities are less (e.g. product development group in a service based company)

The easiest way is to perhaps wait for your turn for L1 processing and just before going onsite, you start appearing in the telephone interviews claiming that you are going to be there in the foreign country at so and so date and get your face to face interview scheduled there. And once you are onsite, just appear in the interview and request the new empolyer for helping you in h1 processing. [Loyalty to the current employer has second preference.. your career is first..]I guess if you already have an L1 stamping, getting the H1 visa will be a bit easier.

If you have suggestions please respond to my post.
