Know Java!

what I need to be a real programmer?

"real programmer"? "Get your hands dirty" with some real code. Code and compile! Simple rule.

what should I do?

This is the important question!
First get basic "fundas" right. Have clear fundamentals in core Java.

1. Get a good book. See The Bunkhouse on Java Ranch.
2. Visit the Java ranch forum for bigginers/Intermediate! It helped me a lot in "those" early days. (Thanks Java Ranch!)
3. Write Code and compile it! (write code yourself!Compile it! See the compiler errors! It is very important!)
4. Use of Java docs! Java Docs for API documentation from Java.
5. Once your fundamentals are clear then go for advanced Java concepts. If your core Java is good you will be in really good position.
