I read a comment from one of the authors about using EJB for the JSF backing beans and wonder if this is covered (in detail) in the book.

To me, this might make a lot of sense...but I'd like to see a few working examples first to make up my mind!

I see no reference to JSF in the samples, but maybe there is in the book. I'll leave the author clarify this.

We were not able to cover all of the different combinations of using JPA with other Java technologies in this book. Sounds like a good idea for another one, though

I know of one fairly simple example of using JSF with JPA that you can take a look at to get a feel for it.
