Most of the companies(who sponsor H1b) I see on monster/naukri/dice.com seem to be bodyshoppers. Is this true? Do few bodyshoppers completely control the H1-B market? People who advocate for more H1Bs like Microsoft/IBM/TCS never seem to give advertisements anywhere. Visit dice/naukri/monsterindia.com and type H1-B and you get only handful of names.
The big-name companies rarely need to advertise because they expect people to come to them. Around my town, at least, the major employers often do not recruit directly because they employ help from outside contractors. The contract often contains a right-to-hire clause.
In fact, my own brother ended up at a major employer that way.
Science is the process of replacing what we "know" with what is TRUE. Politics, alas, often prefers to be the opposite.
Normally big companies will provide H1Bs to their existing employees who already working with them at least since six months or more. So we do not find specific advertisements for H1B from big companies. [ February 13, 2007: Message edited by: KJ Reddy ]
