Hi All,

we have a Stateless session EJB in which there are several webservices. We are facing the problem of Transaction Time out. It is now that decided that for each webservice we will set different Transaction times.

We tried changing the "<trans-timeout-seconds>" in weblogic-ejb-jar.xml but came to know that this is for the entire application. Is there any way to set the Transaction time for a single method in an EJB.

For example,

if our bean is LoginBean, there are different webservices like checkId, getId, checkBooks... etc... is there any way to change the transaction time only for checkId? we are using Container Managed Transaction...

Kindly help.....

I think that there is not such provision for individual method transaction timeout time.
However I will suggest a workaround. Create different EJB Projects with different transaction timeouts. Put the ejbs with siutable methods ( as per need of transaction timeout) in suitable ejb project. Create a jar file which will contain all the common code & include that jar in each ejb project.
Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
