Hi guys,

Just started looking at getting back into J2EE again (been using standard JDK fo rthe past 3yrs).

I got the latest J2EE_SDK from Sun's site (it came complete with the Sun Java App Server thingy) 150mb!

Just trying to remember how you set the environment up. From what I can see, I just need to add:-

J2EE=C:\..\j2ee\
%J2EE%\lib\j2ee.jar

to my CLASSPATH?

is there anything else I need (you'd recommend) my adding?

Is there anyway of checking to make sure basic Servlets etc have been compiled by the J2EE and not standard J2SE edition, or does it not matter?

As I say, been a while, but sure it'll come back to me.... eventually!

That classpath should be good.

You know your servlets have been compiled with the J2EE jar by the fact that they compile. J2SE doesn't contain the HttpServletRequest class and the like.

Note that you are still compiling with J2SE. There is only one level of compiler. It's just that the compile has j2ee.jar in the classpath.

It'll come back fast once you get started!
