I'm using wcs 5.6. I'm trying to do inserts and updates using a custom
access bean. The bean will not update the table at all and the insert
only puts a value in for the first field and leaves everything else
blank. I do commit the changes once I finish. Any ideas?

When I try to update none of the fields are updated in the table. When I try to do an insert only the first field is populated and everything is blank. I run a query on the db before and after this command is run. Here is some code from the method:

"r aa",

There aren't many rules that you need to worry about here on the Ranch, but one that we take very seriously regards the use of proper names. Please take a look at the JavaRanch Naming Policy and adjust your display name to match it.

In particular, your display name must be a first and a last name separated by a space character, and must not be obviously fictitious.

Thanks!

From the code, hard to say anything.
If you can run profiler, see what is the SQL command finally getting executed in the database.
The other thing is you may double check if you are not putting blank data in those variables.

For this sort of data issues, I always start at profiler ( I have SQLServer and very easy to trace SQL statements using profiler).
