Hi Authors of EJB 3 in Action,

My question:

Is this book more indicated to a developer that knows previus EJB versions or for a completely EJB newbie?

Thanks,

Leonardo Luiz

We assume no knowledge of EJB 2. However if you have prior EJB knowledge you can navigate quickly to the advanced chapters.

If you read the first chapter and TOC then you know we start with the basics http://www.manning.com/panda/panda_meapch1.pdf but we quickly dive into nuts and bolts!

Leonardo:

The book is tilted to both groups. The beginning chapters have more of a newbie tilt, while the latter chapters have an EJB 2 "experienced" developer tilt. Overall, the book is probably a more fun read for a newbie, since we cover a lot of concepts "ground up".

Besides, EJB 3 is really an entirely new beast that doesn't have that much in common in terms of the EJB 2 programming model.

If you know EJB 2.0 , you will certainly appreciate EJB 3.0.
