EJB3 Time out Problem

+Pie Number of slices to send: Send
I am trying to process about 20,000 records. I will be making several calls per record with my database (an oracle database). My transaction times out way before I finish processing my records.

Can someone please advice me on how best to handle such a large volume of data without a time out. Kindly point me in the right direction on how best to handle such large records. I am attempting to see if i can process 400,000 records at a time. Help please.

P.s.
I dont want to break my transaction into bits and pieces if i donot have to.

Transaction timeouts are configurable. A Google search on "JTA timeout" may help you find out how to configure them for your environment; for example, this configuration reference came up first in the search results.

Yes, the same thing is happening with me I am still trying on that.
But the default time out is 1 day for MDBs. But don't know why its always timed out in between.
I'm not sure if I approve of this interruption. But this tiny ad checks out:
