about Serializable

hi,

I got a problem with the serialization at my work, actually i need to know that what are the situations at real time will this Serialization Concept comes under and how can we solve those situations? Can any one explain with one example....?

Serialization is the magic that augments the philosophy of "write once use everywhere" to "create once use anytime"
It helps you store java objects on a persistance store, retrieve later and use as if it was not at all serialized before. It also comes handy when you have to transfer a java object from one JVM to another.

Since this question under the posted in EJB topic, I would assume this is EJB specific and not generic.

1) Since the objects are accessed over RMI-IIOP network, only objects that are serializable can be passed over parameters.

2) In SFSB, the state of the bean gets Passivated. While passivation only those which are serializable are passivated

HI,

Actually i know what is Serialization, but i should know where can we come across in a project, can any one give me an example or more......

Rajesh Agarwal has given you two. Can you explain what you don't understand and we can try to make it clearer?
