I have just be given the task of comparing three technologies, and giving a demo in using each.
The technologies are EJB 2.x, EJB 3.0, and Hibernate.

The hibernate tutorial I have been able to get a hold of and complete. As for the EJBs I cant seem to find any good tutorials. Everything I seem to be finding has to do with migrating from 2.x to 3.0

Does anyone have a good link for me? I really need one

Thanks!

Hi,

EJB 3.0 is just a specification. You could use Hibernate, Oracle Toplink or another Persistence framework. You could use the same demo for EJB 3.0 and Hibernate unless you are using special features in Hibernate that are unavailable in JPA.

You could look into Java petsore sample from Sun available at Petstore sample

As far as EJB 2.x is concerned you will have to download the tutorial. Petstore should be included in the tutorial. Petstore EBJ 2.x

Hope this helps,

Good Luck

Since you are comparing to Hibernate, I am assuming that you are talking about the persistence part of EJB 3.0, which is JPA. You can find some info and a link to an example here.

For EJB 3 , you can download this book from this location

http://www.theserverside.com/tt/books/wiley/masteringEJB3/index.tss by Ed Roman. You can also refer to Articles on onjava.com which gives extensive overview on the same.
