Queue Connection Factories - one-to-one with queues?

I've noticed a lot of sample code where a Queue Connection Factory is set up on the server and is always paired up with a Queue. Do I always need a separate QCF for every queue, or can I have one QCF that help me instantiate a bunch of queues?

My specific environment is WebSphere Application Server 5.1, running WebSphere MQ 5.3.x.

A connection factory can have multiple queues. Read up on the "factory pattern". The idea of the pattern is that it generates a general type of object, but not necessarily of a specific class.
