Hi Guys ,
I am B.E. Comp Sci.I have 3.7 years of IT experience with ORACLE PL/SQL Technology ,, come on this is general question not related to technology ..

Curently I am from a US MNC, and have an offer of 7.25 LPA from one company in Bangalore.
Looking to my profile Upto how much should I expect , upto 8 LPA is fair ?

Any feedback is appreciated.

"Greed is good"
You are right, ask for 8L,They might ask you to settle at 7.Mainly depends on type of company and services it offers.

Hi , that's good question.

I mentioned to clarify that, offer of 7.25 is gross from B'lore based company. ( CTC 7 + 25K JB)
I am also in talk with one Pune based MNC for final round, and 2 companies in B'lore)

Now certainly here at the same time I want to have more offers to decide the best , but just for 20-30K more I am not willing to loose 7.25 offer since future prospects is good.
so at the same time if I expect 50K more from other companies , they may not offer.
So how to negotiate tactically to make next companies to offer upto 8 is my question.
Or is it not possible with this profile in current industry?
Or what I am getting is that fair enough ?

Hope we don't have any HR professionals on this forum ..

Offer looks promising and up to Industry Standards.
Think on following parameters to take a decision.
1) Marriage
2) Settlement
3) Parents
4) Carrier opportunities in long term prospect
5) Surrounding Peoples and Culture
6) Food
7) Growth of Company
8) Overall Perks/benefit and in hand salary
9) Cost of Leaving in respective Location
10) Traffic issue if Blore.

Set your priorities and do calculation n you will have your decision

Regards
Ram

Thanks to Ram & Arjun for their detailed inputs.
Some details ,
My current desig was Programmer at current MNC , at 7.25 I get Sr S/W Er
current work role was of Support , there it looks as per JD of Developer cum DBA.
with other companies , I can negotiate upto 7.8 to 7.9 but for the same Support Profile where future does not seems promising as skills will get rusted.
And as Ram suggested Merrage is also the point I have to think of.
But I also have known from friends that in industry 80% work is of support only, so why to not go for higher package?
But nowadays industry is very mature, companies does not offer even a candidate is very excellent , but his expectations does not fit to their budget.
And 7.25 as per leading consultants is really good sum.but what are the pay master standars that I require to know.

Hi Snehal,

Regarding Banglore , I would say I find 7.25 little less but if its Pune and as you have 3.5+ experience then 7.25 is better than the most. If you can try other companies in Banglore which are not big ( by big I mean the big 3 Indian MNCs ) then I guess you might easily fetch 8.0 L
