Dear David,
Whenever a new product comes out, the makers do a good job as far as developing a new application is concerned, I am positive that Glass Fish would also offer great features for developing a new application.
However, its usually a pain to migrate a existing application to a new server.
We faced this problem when trying to migrate from Weblogic 8.1 to JBoss. (actually, it was a problem to migrate even to weblogic 9.2 but possible with workarounds).
So, does your book cover that aspect of how to migrate from the major (i.e Weblogic, Websphere,JBoss) Application servers to Glass Fish ?
Or is there any tool available to do that?
regards,
Prashant

prashant,

There is a migration tool to help migrating applications from other application servers to GlassFish.

The book does not cover migrating legacy applications since it's primary focus is development of Java EE 5 applications using GlassFish.
