hi David

I have a practical question. Do you know many customers running glassfish under linux or solaris in production ?

I once implemented a payment gateway using netbeans and glassfish. Unfortunately glassfish didn't run well under Linux in production. It was using too many file descriptors. We increased file descriptor limit but it didn't help either. We had to switch to JBoss.

Here is related discussion:

I don't know how many GlassFish installations exist under Linux. However, I monitor the GlassFish users mailing list, and I haven't seen any recent complains regarding running GlassFish under Linux.
