Why to prefer EJB (especially stateless session bean) over POJO?

Why to prefer EJB (especially stateless session bean) over POJO???

Is it just to get advantage of some services like transaction, security (what's more???) etc provided by EJB container??? Or some strong reason is there?

transaction and security are non-trivial to implement, and I definitely prefer to have some one else dealing with that,

there is also scalability supported by application servers,
