servlet super class for compiled jsp

Hi,

When jsp is compiled ,it will be translated to Servlet.

What is the super class for the servlet that is generated.


Where the implicit object get instainitated that are being used direcly in jsp.

Can nay one clarify for me.

On your way in you may have missed that we have a policy on screen names here at JavaRanch. Basically, it must consist of a first name, a space, and a last name, and not be obviously fictitious. Since yours does not conform with it, please take a moment to change it, which you can do right here.

As to your question, that's all up to the servlet container, so you'd need to look at the source code of whichever container you're interested in. A look at the servlet source code that's generated from the JSP pages might be a good start; e.g. Tomcat keeps those in TOMCAT_HOME/work/Catalina/localhost.
