Hi

I am swatting up for SCEA and am not sure if a jms queue MUST be 1 to 1, or if many to 1 (not 1 to many) is also allowed.

Also is it true that the message order is not guaranteed?

many thanks
Kenny

You can have any combination for number of senders and consumers.

In a many to one scenario, As you have many sender and only one consumer, the consumer will receive the message in the order that they entered the queue.

So, in case that you can control your senders to send ordered messages you can guarantee that receiver will receive them in order.

hope it helps.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
