Hello ,
Had asked a similar question - this was specific to JPA here

Along the same lines

I am now trying to create a SessionBean

Am getting a compilation error .
I need to import the packages ( javax.ejb.* )

where do I get the jar for above ?

Thanks ,
~satish

You should have the j2ee.jar(name may vary like jboss-javaee.jar for JBOSS 5 etc.. depending on your J2EE package you are using)in your classpath in order to compile.

If your using eclipse set the targetted runtime (if you particular server is not available, there is probably a plugin you can search google for). Once set, it should resolve server libraries automatically.

Am using Jboss

I got the jar " jboss-j2ee.jar " but I also see some javax.ejb packages in another jar - "jboss-ejb3x.jar"

Thanks Scott , Vijitha and Paul for the inputs .
