Hi Authors,

Firstly, congratulations on your book and it will be very useful.

Q.1 In your ESB book do you compare pros and cons of commercial versus open-source ESBs?

Q.2 Do you compare diffrent open-source ESBs?

Q.3 Do you compare ESB selection criteria, which can be useful for organizations in the process of evaluating various products?

Thanks!

Q.1 In your ESB book do you compare pros and cons of commercial versus open-source ESBs?
A.1 In chapter 1 of the book we have a sub-section about the pros and cons of commercial (or closed source) vs open source ESBs. You can download a draft version of this chapter (soon this will be the final version) for free at http://www.manning.com/rademakers).

Q.2 Do you compare diffrent open-source ESBs?
A.2 Also in chapter 1 we have a section of comparing and listing a set of open source ESBs currently available. Most of the content and the examples of the book are dedicated to Mule and ServiceMix. But we also have examples of Spring Integration, Apache Synapse, Apache Camel, PEtALS and Open ESB.

Q.3 Do you compare ESB selection criteria, which can be useful for organizations in the process of evaluating various products?
A.3 We have made a list of selection criteria again in chapter 1 of the book. And we also list the set of functionalities we think an ESB should have. So yes, I think this is covered in the book.

Best regards,
