"ANA",
Welcome to the JavaRanch.

We're a friendly group, but we do require members to have valid display names.

Display names must be two words: your first name, a space, then your last name. Fictitious names are not allowed.

Please edit your profile and correct your display name since accounts with invalid display names get deleted.

This is your fourth warning, so I should be closing your account. Please fix your display name immediately.

Regards, Dave.

Bill,
What UBB code failures? Can you post an example in the JavaRanch forum?

I just created a URL link and it worked fine.

Jeanne,

i found it odd that the leading URL was capitalized, and the trailing url was lower case,
i thought that was the problem, but it wasn't,

i think, it was the fact that there was a newline inside the square brackets,
which was a quirk of how i selected the text before clicking the URL button,

Enterprise Java 3.0

perhaps user error,
but something that could be corrected for (remove white space from inside the URL square bracket - it's not valid in a URL anyway
