Hi Ranchers,

I've come to know that monthly expenses there would be max 1500 RM and tax is 8% so it comes to 480RM.

so I would be able to save 4250 * 12 = 51000 INR.

is it worth going there for this much money?

Cheers!

Money wise, its not a BIG offer (51000 PM for 4 years experience). But for pleasure, you can visit Malaysia through this...

Thanks Guys...This is useful...

But I am still looking for some Rancher, who has actually worked in Malaysia, to reply this post...

Is anyone there?

Cheers!

To me RM6k is a decent pay if you are single. Make sure the company handles
all your visa & flight tickets.

A 2BR unfurnished apartment would cost roughly RM900, daily if you eat outside it would cost you max RM1000. The public transport is very good you don't really need a car in KL. If you share Apt then you can bring down your living expenses within RM1500 range.

KL is a very beautiful city to live and work atmosphere is also good.
If you wish you can take this opportunity and see KL & S'pore.

I won't suggest to live there for long term more than 2 years.

If you need any further info you can PM me.
Goodluck

Hi Rajan,

Thanks a ton for the reply...I think you have spent some time in KL.

Please let me know how much is the tax over there.

I Personally feel like negotiating the salary part as I won't be able to save much with this salary...

money wise I'm very much in good condition here in pune...and I think there is a little bit risk involved in going there as I think I won't be able to change job there...

Any suggestions on salary negotiations?...

Thanks,

Yes you are right, changing jobs is quite difficult there. In my opinion this is big disadvantage.

Regarding tax, you have to pay flat 28% if you are non-resident.
For more info please visit the site

Check your PM too.

Not really.
For taxation purposes, you are considered a resident as long as you meet certain criteria.
For example, if you are going to be working in Malaysia for longer than a certain period of time.
This is also true for many other countries.

To claim as a resident status you have to reside in that country continuously for 180 days in that calendar year(Jan-Dec period).

6000 is a good pay. They normally pay 2000-2500 for new university graduates (Bachelor level).

You can rent an apartment for 800-1200. You will need 1500RM/month if you want to live relatively good.

Hi Guys,

Thanks a lot for all your replies.

I've asked for more salary as I think It's not advisable to go there for this kind of salary but I've not got any reply from them.

Cheers!
