Problem with Mail Server

I am working on a project using Java Mailing API. I am using James Mail Server from Apache which supports SMTP and POP3. When I am sending mails from client to server I get a message of message delivery. This mail is received by the server properly but the server is unable to send it to the address it is supposed to go. Means, suppose I send it to abcd@server.com it should go to server.com.
I can made out that the problem is with DNS name. Please give your suggesstion and help me out.
