Hi All,
How does a placement agency help in providing us a job?.If i get a job through a placement agency in a company whether i need to pay any money to the placement agency or will they cut it in my salary. Is it useful to send my profile to placement agency?.

Usually the agencies:

1. Take 1-3 month's salary as 'fee'

2. Place you under thier payroll and charge the recruiting company.

In my opinion, the 1st option is better. You just have to pay once and then you are on your own.

Hi Nik/Abhijeet,

Most of the placement companies in india does not take any money from the candidate instead they take the money from the company which has selected you.

The money that they will charge to the companies is depends on your CTC offered by the company. It usally very from 8% to 12% based on certain factors like rare skils, number of experience etc.

However there are certain companies which does not entertains these placement firms.

my two cent.

Naveen

If you send is by car it's a shipment, but if by ship it's cargo. This tiny ad told me:
