I am always surprise when people say, Noida is not a safe place, I am working in NCR from last 3 years, and Noida is a good place to live and to work, Also very cheap compare to Banglore, Mumbai and Hyderabad.

Noida is not a very cheap as comprared to Banglore, Mumbai and Hyderabad. I will say that it is at the best 10% less costlier than Mumbai or Banglore.

Mumbai and Pune are very safe places. Problem with mumbai is always crowd, traffic jams, travelling time from office to home and home to office is more compared to smaller cities. Life is very fast. But if you stay in mumbai for more than a year, you will not like smaller cities. You will like fast life. Mumbai is little different than other cities.

Noida is definitely cheaper than Bangalore. The infrastructure like roads etc. are much much better then any other metro in India. Streets are way less crowded than those of Bangalore/Pune/Mumbai. Plenty of quality accomodation is available at affordable price.

The downside is power is not reliable. The streets are not as safe as Pune/Mumbai.

Ultimately every choice has it's own advantages and disadvantages. One chooses according to what matters to him/her most.

Hi
Nik
Like coin every thing has two side.
As far as cheapness is concern Noida is cheap than Banglore and Mumbai because you can easilly get rented accomodation .
Rent detail is here
2 Room set rent in Noida------- 5000-8000(good location)
3 Room set rent in Noida-------8000-10000(good location)
and the landlords demand 2 months (in somecases he/she demands only 1 month ) rent only in advance. As I heard about Bang that it is expensive to stay in Bang at rented accomodation because landloards demand 1 year rent in advance.
As far as security is concern Noida is not as much safe as Bang.
But at all it is much spacious and greeny city as compare to Mumbai and Banglore.
So finally I would like to suggest your friend that there is no problem to stay in Noida.
