Dear Karthik,

First of all, I really dont think Datawarehousing and Testing are not in demand in the industry.(I have several of my highly paid friends from datawarehousing background). I seriously think you can have a very good scope even in that industry.. probably you can think of doing some certifications for Informatica..It is a highly sought after skill in the industry.
But, if you really want to switch to Java, my sincere suggestions would be dont be in a hurry.. I am glad you have done certification in Java.. but my suggestion would be give it some time.. do some hands on...Try to participate in forums.. and only when you think you really know something in Java.. ie you can solve some real life problems using your java skill.. you should start looking for opportunities...

All the best to you !!!

Thanks and Regards,

The data warehousing/BI field seems to be at an all time high why do you want to get in Java?. Why not become a DW architect or something if you have 3 years under your belt? You're going to have to start anew in Java aren't you?
