Hi all,
Following is my query regarding decryption
I am sending mail to suppliers using java mail concept during that time i would like to prived some security, for that i have used my encryption method and i have also created my own decryption, now how can i use this decryption is it possible or is there any other method to provide decryption.I would like to know whether i am going in the right way or not. b'se we can't ask suuplier to use our java program to decrypt so is there any other way to provide decryption.
what about digital signature? for that also we need to check the file in receiver side.
I hope some common method will be there to provide such securtiy if any one knows this concept please help me to do this. it is most urgent.
thank you very much in advance.

You could offer an Applet capable of decrypting and displaying their mail after they have verified themselves using a password. Other than that I don't think there is such a thing as 'self-decrypting' messages. They will have to have access to the encryption algorithm in order to decrypt so you either have to use a piece of software that they already have installed or they will have to get access to your custom app. The web provides a convenient way of making you custom app available. However, you could use password protected zip files if you want to take advantage of pre-installed software (but then you're not really encrypting the data). I hope this helps.

Dear sean,
thanks for your reply. If i am right we have to provide piece of software which will do decrypting in the destination.
again thanks for your valuable reply
