EBCDIC/ASCII conversion

Hi:
I want to write the data coming from IBM mainframe as EBCDIC into a text file as ASCII text.
How shld I convert the text.
Pls. Help..
It's urgent.

InputStreamReader and OutputStreamWriter provide methods that can convert between other character encodings and Unicode.
The JDK Software Internationalization Overview provides a table of Supported Encodings
I used to convert it byte by byte in the old days but you would need the the conversion tables and I've long since lost them.
