Hi All,

I am currently working as a Sr. software developer having 2.5 year of experience. A company (CMM Level 5) offered me as an Associate System Analyst position.
Is it right to join the new company or not.
Please suggest me….
Thanks in advance.

Almost always, these designations doesn't mean anything and doesn't carry any value. It is important to know what you will be doing more than what you will be called.
I was working as an 'Associate' for first 7 years then I became a 'Technical Architect' in my next job. In my current job, my job title is 'Developer' (no senior or junior developer. Just developer) and I'm happy about it

I agree with Mani Ram. Your role and responsibilities are more important then your designation.

TO make it more clear.. As a thumb rule..

if(raise >= 30%)
switchjobs = true;
else
{
demand_more_from_newcompany();
return false;
}

Many companies club the bonus part with the CTC offered.
Hey Mani Ram please check your PM.
