Getting drive details[urgent]

Hi, I'm unable to get the details of the Drives of the system.The listRoots() method of the File class list the current drives,but I want to get the properties such as whether it is Flopppy Drive,CD Drive or a Local HardDrive etc., the label of the drive, the size of the drive etc.I also want to get the properties like date created of an ordinary file

I've never looked at JConfig myself, but I remember reading about it somewhere or other.
