C:\TEMP>jar -uvf Login.jar mclasses\prop12.txt
adding: mclasses/prop12.txt(in = 241) (out= 107)(deflated 55%)
java.io.IOException: Error in writing existing jar file
at sun.tools.jar.Main.run(Main.java:179)
at sun.tools.jar.Main.main(Main.java:904)

How can I modify the jar file.

Hmm, it's hard to tell what the cause might be. It's been a while since I've really used java.io seriously, but I'm wondering if it's a file access problem, e.g.g the files is read only, the file is currently in use and so it's locked.

Hi,
I agree with Mark 'coz I tried to update a jar file with the same command. It's working fine!! So, I think the problem with the permission only.
