Hi,
Windows OS does n't allow to set a CLASSPATH more than 1024 bytes(Infact any environmental variable). What is the work around for this ?
Does unix allow to set the classpath more than this size?
Thanks

Hi ShivaK,
Welcome to JavaRanch. I can't possibly imagine why your CLASSPATH would ever need to be larger than 1024 bytes. You would be better off rearranging your packages/jars than trying to do some sort of work around, if there is one.

Try dropping your jars into your jre/ext directory, and then they'll be picked up automatically, and you won't have to add them to the class path.
