A week? A month? A year?

There are lots of things you need to consider here. For example - are you happy with sharing an apartment? How far are you willing to travel each day? Do you want to bring family with you? Do you want to do any tourist activities while you are there? Do you want to travel back to India on a regular basis? Do you want to do your own cooking? Are you crazy enough to want your own car / scooter?

Take a look at the Big Mac index and at the iPod index. These should give you an idea of relative cost of living in different countries.

You can also do searches on the internet to try and find rental prices. The cheapest option in one such search I just tried indicated that renting a room in a shared apartment would be in the order of 300 a month. At the same time, the most expensive option listed at the time I did the search was in the vicinity of 3000 a month.

Regards, Andrew

Ohh sorry i havent mentioned it correctly.. well its for a 1.400/month.I think this implies 1400 Euros/month. About sharing appartment, yes we will be two persons going along.. so we two would be sharing the appartment. Yes we will do the cooking ourself . No cars no scooter, will go bankrupt otherwise Will try to locate near the bank itself.. So i guess round about 600-700 euros will be the expenses. And yes the bank is [Company]. Do you have any idea about it. I just know it from friends that its among the best banks over there. As am vegetarian so guess they have other dishes except pork and beef one.. if we plan to check food outside

Thanks
