Hi all,
i am trying to run applet in IE browser on winXP with the following code of html file, BUT I ONLY GET THE ALT TAG THAT UR BROWSER IGNORING APPLET TAG ,........CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHY???
My jdk version is 1.3.1

Have you got the Java Plug-in installed, then? Can you run any other applets?

U r write Ernest,
NO applet is running on my pc even the jdk sample demoes in its demoes dir,but i think the code is for to download the plug in if it is not installed ,am i right or not ,or suppose it is not for this purpose then how do i installed it and suppose i sent this page to some one who does not know about java how will he knows about it
