Dear All,

I am chintan dave from Ahmedabad- India. I need an advice from you people.
Right now i am working as "Associate Information Security consultant" with a security consulting firm in Baroda - Gujarat.

I have an offer from [a company] to join their singapore office as Associate Consultant - Risk management and IT Security with their team of IT Security. They are offering me a total payscale of 3320 Singapore dollars per month. 2900 S$ is basic and 420 S$ is what i get if i have a permenant residency.

I also have an offer from a mumbai based firm [...]. offering me 4,50,000 Rs. Per Annum.

I am confused whether i should take up the job with [1st company] or not!
Please guide me. I dont even know what is the cost of living there, and is this salary good enough as per the salary standards of singapore?

I'd be obliged if someone can please help me.

Thanks for your time,
Chintan

Use the search feature to look for similiar topics. Goinf by the past discussions this appears to be good salary in Singapore.

Also mention how many years experience, certifications and current salary for better suggestions.

Thannks for the reply Abhijeet. I have an experience of 2 years.
The current CTC is 2,41,200 and i have an offer of 4,50,000 on hand.
Yes i did look for similar topics, but seems they are too old. Hence i posted my question again.

Is 2900 S$ a good salary for a person having experience of 2 years in Information Security in Singapore?

Hi Chintan,

Salary of around 3000 dollars is "okay" , it's not great. Since past year, rents in singapore have shot up ! So maybe you can ask the company to provide accomadation with reasonable rent ! maybe then you might save upto 40k to 50k INR if you are not too lavish !

Don't come on this salary, for Singapore today condition need at least S$4000 to live a normal life at par you live in India. That inculudes offsets for your sufferings in foreign land.Go for Indian offer or wait for better offer...
