Java web start works well for some situation. However it may not for other situations. For example: when the application is very big or the network is very slow. Also this solution requires the client machine have Java Web Start pre-installed.(or at least, it need to be installed).
If the target platform is Windows, is it possible to package the application and java run time together into a zip file, so that the user only need to unzip the file and run the program directly by double click a batch file or small exe file?
Thanks,
