Hi all,
I am going nuts regarding this particular type of implementation.Do guide me in the correct direction.
I have an application that connects to the database, does the updation, searching, deletion to the database.
The class is "DatabaseConnection".It is a singleton.I have CourseJPanel class that helps to provide the necessary details that are to be in the database with a lot of buttons.
I hope I am clear with the specifics of what I have.
My question is the following.
"The DatabaseConnection singleton runs on a SERVER close to the database and The CourseJPanel instance runs on a CLIENT and connects to the server using the Java Security Packages"
This is what I have to do.
Kindly guide me through the necessary steps that I have to do in order to accomplish this.

Help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanking you
Nash

Hi Nash -
I don't really see what this has to do with servlets, and I'm not entirely sure where else it belongs. I'll move this to JiG (Advanced) and we'll see what happens.

Nash,
As you want to have your "Jpanel Object" to invoke methods on "Database connection Object" which is a remote one , you will have to use RMI (Remote Method Invocation).
Read any RMI tutorial for further detail about how to implement the Database Connection object.
