Hello everyone,
Can anyone tell me the difference between mySAP, SAP R/3,SAP Netweaver,SAP ECC,SAP B1?Are there any other platforms in SAP??
which platform should I go?
I am an SCJP.
Inside that platform, what module should I choose in the technical field??

Hi Pankaj,

Please cross check the below information, I have provided below info to the the best of my knowledge.

SAP R/3: This is the default database or they refer it as the R/3 system which comes with SAP system.

mySAP: is the name of the suite of applications.

SAP Netweaver: is the Latest platform from SAP which supports Java development.

For J2EE professionals the entry point in SAP is SAP EP (Enterprise Portals), SAP XI (Exchange Infrastructure, now renamed to PI ). You could also try SAP BI (Business Intelligence).

SAP EP is portal development which is similar to Java Web development. SAP XI is more for integration technology. SAP BI is analytical domain similar to COGNOS.

SAP ECC : Not sure about this ..

You can download SAP Netweaver from SDN website referred below and practice on your home machine.

For more information on SAP, I suggest you visit SAP web page

All the Best!!

Thanks and Regards
Ayub
