What is this means
time java -Xms128M -Xmx128M -Xss128M <java-file>
Any help is appreciated.

could be the commandline on linux.
time is evaluating the command followed.
java is the classic java-command - since this is the 'advanced' forum, I don't explain that.
The meaning of the -X options may be evaluated by

in general they tell the jvm to use 128 MB ram.
In whole it is a command which is useful to measure the time, a (noninteractive) program runs. For interactive programs it is less useful.
