Dear Friends,

i am sanvi and right now i am carrying(2months).My husband got transferred to US(boston) he is leaving next month .My question is.

1:if my baby is born in US does she/he gets the US citizen ?

2: we will be staying there for 3 year later we will be back to india and don't have any idea to go back again so in that case does my child citizenship will continue or it will be discarded?

3:coming back to india will my baby get the indian citizenship?

4: Do i get the job in this stage(i have 5 yrs exp and working in top MNC).if so how many days i will get the leave .

Thanks and regards,
sanvi

Yes. Under the 14th amendment of the U.S. Constitution.

Well, I guess your child can renounce the citizenship, but I believe that he/she has to be an adult first.

That depends on what kind of visa you're on. Just because your husband has a visa that allows him to work in the USA does not mean that you will automatically be allowed to work, too. Furthermore, many companies are reluctant to hire someone who needs visa sponsorship. Plus, they might not like to hire someone who will stay for only for 3 years at the most.

Yes he will be eligible as the U.S. prescribes to the concept ofJus SoliBut I think there also might be a possibility of dual citizenship nowadays. In most cases as Henry says the person will have to choose one upon reaching age of majority.

I think technically the child is eligible, but does not have to accept citizenship in that case should you not want it.
