Hi -

I have 5 years and 2 months of experience in Java/J2EE. I have recently moved from Mumbai to Hyderabad. My current package is 5.5 lacs p.a. (i know its too low...) and i am a Sr Software Engineer. I might become a Team Lead in my next appraisal that will be in September, which is too far. So i've started looking out for a change.

I am getting offers for a Team Lead position with around 8 lacs p.a. salary in hyderabad. Let me know what is the ideal position and pay package for this much experience in Hyderabad.

Thanks,
Grishma

Hi,

8L looks to be a good package but I guess you can expect a little more like 9L. But 9L is still not outstanding one , I would say.

Howdy Grishma,

As other ranchers suggested, according to the market standards in India you can very well demand for 8 to 9 lpa and stay with it.

That should be a decent package and you will get it for a team/tech lead post.

All the best

What i told 8-9 is a minimum package with which you should not compromise. But you can quote more so that you will into your bandwidth
