Long: some mobile phones (and then only with some subscription plans) can receive and send email. If possible that's the easiest option. In all other cases, you're most likely stuck with sending SMS messages from your application to an SMS service provider (needing a contract with them and usually custom APIs).
thank you for your reply. Let us leave the provider in this stage. What I am thinking now is writing an application contains a JTextArea and a JButton("Send"). User writes a message into a JTextArea and then click "Send" button. The message will be sent from his PC to a specific mobile phone. I have no idea where shall I start to write such application and what kind of java packages shall I use?
why dont you try this url http://www.simplewire.com/products/sdk/ , its a third party tool which integrates java application to send SMS.... Just go through it, it may be useful for you....
