FAQ request ...

Moderators and Trail Bosses -

Is there any chance that (in all your spare time!) you could add a couple more entries to the Beginners' FAQ page? pete stein pointed out in an answer to another post how to use the Code tag - much better and more easily than I had figured out just messing around. I haven't figured out how to use a lot of the other stuff either ( - also embarrassed!) And someone else told a poster how to copy command window error messages into your post so that anyone who wanted to respond could see exactly what you got, but I don't remember where the post was!

It would be great if you could include this kind of thing in the Beginners' FAQ - or maybe tell me where I should be looking for it!

Thanks for everything - including the new "watch topic" feature!

There is a lot of good stuff at http://faq.javaranch.com/java/HowToAskQuestionsOnJavaRanch

Also remember that the FAQ is a wiki, which basically means that most pages are editable by everyone. So if you see something that you think should be in the FAQ, just add it!

Here it is.

Maybe you could add a link to it from the beginner's FAQ page.
If you settle for what they are giving you, you deserve what you get. Fight for this tiny ad!
