I'm a Sr. Software Consultant with about 10 years total IT experience and about 8 years in J2EE/JavaEE. Currently primary skillsets are springframework, iBatis, Hibernate, Flex, PL/SQL and also some design/architecture experience.

I am looking to work in any of the following countries in order of preference: Spain, France, Ireland, UK, Australia, Costa Rica

Can someone who has worked overseas let me know what are my options are?

Thanks much!

You can find out about visa options for working in Australia at - http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/index.htm

Incidentally ThoughtWorks Australia was looking for Java programmers - http://it.seek.com.au/users/apply/index.ascx?Sequence=26&PageNumber=1&JobID=11679491&

[ UD: Removed company-specific talk which, as you well know, is not allowed here. ]

There is a good demand for Java/JEE developers in Australia especially Sydney.
