hi all, we have in my company a server and sometimes it has a lot of stress of hits that make the CPU usage=100% and this need to restart the resin.. what is the way in java to know if the CPU reach this value.. thank you all
If you're using Java 5 see the jConsole tool in the JDK. You can use the same APIs that it does to gather data. I'd look to an outside tool to monitor server health, though. For no money, it's common to have perl scripts that run OS commands and page people based on scary results. For big bucks your operations support folks should have some kind of commercial monitors like Topaz or something.
