Calling perl scrip from java program

I have perl program to search for a record from large text file. Now am developing Swing GUI to display the result. How can I call the perl script and display the result in Java GUI. Swing GUI and perl script are already ready for this requirements. Please tell me how to call the perl script when user click button in Swing GUI.

You can run a script using Runtime.exec(). See the Java Intermediate FAQ for an article with more details.
