Communication between two applications

I have two war files deployed in a JBoss server. And I need to send information back and forth between these two applications. What are the solutions? Thank you.

Several options come to mind, some of which may be out of the question because of your circumstances:
  • JMS
  • a database
  • a file
  • through mutually accessible web app contexts (Tomcat can do this; not sure about JBoss)
  • direct TCP connection
  • RMI
  • HTTP
  • ...
