What are the java lacks compare with Ruby?

hi Ranchers,

I don't know what is Ruby and how it works but i really interested to know about this.

can any one clear me on that.. I found this on Description of this book on Amazon.com
"But Ruby looks a lot different from Java, and some of those differences support powerful abstractions that Java lacks."

what are the Java lacks compare with Ruby ??

The first things that come to mind are closures/blocks and the concept of monkey patching or "re-opening classes".
