Dear All,

I am posting a question which may not be relevant to this Forum. However,I need help urgently.

I am supposed to encrypt and decrypt the password using Des3 algorithm. I do have Des3Cipher.java downloaded from acme.crypto site.

There seems to be some problem in Des3Cipher.java.It is not 100% correct. In some cases encryption-decryption is not happening correctly.

I've also gone through the javax.crypto API.

But in this API is there a way where in I can specify my own key without using SecretKey class.

Plz let me know the solution asap.I need it very urgently.

Yes, you are right, this is completely off topic for this forum. So I am going to move it.

I would be more careful to post in the best forum, especially since it is urgent for you. By putting it in the wrong forum will slow down the responses. As you can see here, it was about to drop off the page without any responses.

I am going to move it to the Java In General (Advanced) forum.

Good Luck

Mark

"Not happening correctly"? Well, that isn't a very explicit piece of information. But I'm going to guess, and suggest that you are converting the encrypted bytes into a String and back again. If you are, then stop doing that. If not, then let's see some code and some details about what is going wrong.
