Hi,
I my past experience I have learned that most of the Service industry company in India what people who can do whatever they like. They are very much bother about dollars ($) rather than employees likes and dislike.
So they what us code today in Java and tomorrow in .Net, they never bother about the employee INTERSET. I really hate to be a part of such companies, who mostly bothers about $ than the technologies passion.
Is there any company which passion about what they do in terms of technologies and do they are flat organizations (companies like Google and Thoughtworks). Please share me your thoughts if you know any company in India who are passion about what they do rather than $$$$$$$$..
I am not sure that forum policies will allow us to share the company names... if not please send personal message. I believe we are not violating the rules because we are speaking only good things about the companies.

Technology is meant to support the business. There are few technology oriented companies(Passion type). One way is to go to their website and look for management profiles. If people are with several years of experience in engineering/tetchnology there are chances that there are people with passion there and company value them.
Majority of big Indian IT companies are into offshore business.Offshore is for saving money and delivering the work in required time.To them final outcomes matters more than passion as they are answerable for delivery in time than passion.
Try to look for small/medium size companies with Indian customer base. There are lot more challenges and passion.

This is how companies are supposed to behave. There are very few companies that don't care about how much money they make and spend, and the ones that don't, will only be around until their startup money runs out.

You may want to consider product companies as an option. Many product companies in India do lot of core technology work. Also startup companies are best option, in startups although there could be lot of pressure but you will have great challenges to face with.

What makes you feel that in product dev one will not move from java to .NET. In product dev you will have to learn more things like PERL script etc. The top level people are more concered about what the product does and how it helps customers rather that java or ruby or .net.

I Just mot mean to say its not the technology but the way the people works with passion in what ever they do. I am so much attached with the way the Google & thoughtworks works, they are the people who enjoy what they are doing. I want to some where I can get that environment.
